Appointments can be cancelled by the organizer and the attendee can delete a meeting from their calendar.
As the organizer of an meeting invitation, to cancel a meeting :
Click on the appointment to cancel.
Right-click and select Cancel. If the appointment is a recurring series, you can delete an instance of the series or the complete series.
A confirmation dialog asks if you want to edit the appointment cancelation message.
If you click No, an automatically generated email is sent to the attendees and the appointment is deleted from their calendars.
If you click Yes, the compose window opens and you can modify the message before sending.
If you click Cancel, the meeting is not deleted.
As an meeting attendee, you can delete meetings from your calendar. When you do so you are given the option to notify the organizer.
Click on the meeting to delete.
In the confirmation dialog, select whether or not to notify the organizer and click Yes to delete the meeting.
The meeting information is moved the Calendar Trash folder. To see the content of the Calendar Trash folder, check Trash. The content displays in List format.
Open the Trash folder.
Right-click the meeting to be moved, and select Move.
In the Move Appointment dialog, select the calendar where the meeting should be added.
Click OK.
